About Me

Hi, I’m Carl, and I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. Right now, I’m aiming to be an author. Or a professional GM. Or both! Both is good.

When I was eight, I wanted to be a magician. Then a firefighter, a vet, a doctor—the usual. In my teens, I picked up a guitar and fell in love with writing music. That’s when I realized what I really wanted: to make people feel something with my work. Since then, I’ve explored songwriting, fiction, and storytelling in all its forms. It hasn’t always been easy to find the time while navigating a “normal” life, but this time, I’m making a real go of it.

Stories have always meant the world to me. They helped me escape when things got tough, and they filled my life with wonder and excitement. More than that, they shaped the way I see the world. I’ve always admired characters who do the right thing simply because it’s right, and I’d like to believe stories can inspire others in the same way.

So, I’ll keep writing, painting, and rolling the dice—creating for both myself and for you. This journey has already been rewarding, and I can’t wait to connect with more of you along the way. After all, what’s a bard without an audience?

If you enjoy my work, I’d love to hear from you! Follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Bluesky, or subscribe to the site for updates. Let’s tell some great stories together.

Quick Facts

Favorite book
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (Where is the third book, Patrick?!)
But my favourite author is probably Terry Pratchett.

Favorite TTRPG character you’ve played
I once created a Paladin of Shelyn based on Zapp Brannigan called Zoff Brondigon. Ridiculous.

Go-to writing fuel
Coffee, but decaff, thus defeating the point.

First TTRPG system you ever played
The original Pathfinder – unless you count Baldurs Gate 2, in which case – 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.

What inspires me

I’ve always been drawn to stories that make you feel something. Books, movies, songs, and games have all played a role in shaping both my personality and my love of storytelling. This easily translated into telling stories around a table with groups of friends, rolling dice and doing maths.
The collaborative, unpredictable nature of those roleplaying games taught me how to build immersive worlds, develop compelling characters, and let a story unfold organically. Every session is a reminder that the best stories aren’t just told—they’re experienced.
Whether it’s through writing, painting, or voiceover, I’m inspired by the idea of making stories tangible. There’s something special about holding a painted miniature of a character you’ve played for years or hearing a story told aloud in a way that breathes life into the words. That feeling—of stepping into another world, even for a moment—is what keeps me creating.

What I create

Fantasy Writing

From epic quests to mysterious cityscapes, my writing is all about bringing rich, immersive worlds to life. My fantasy series, The Vanguard, follows a zoological researcher unraveling a mystery in the dark steampunk city of Volgorne—where magic isn’t just myth, and survival depends on more than just science. Whether it’s short stories, novel-length adventures, or worldbuilding notes, my goal is to craft tales that linger in the imagination long after the last page.

Miniature Painting & Tabletop Art

Bringing characters to life doesn’t stop at the page. I also paint miniatures, transforming blank figures into battle-worn warriors, mystical creatures, and iconic TTRPG heroes. It started as a way to enhance my Pathfinder games, but now it’s a full creative passion. Whether it’s a hand-painted adventurer or a terrifying boss monster, every piece tells its own story.

Voiceover & Narration

Some stories are meant to be heard. As a voice narrator, I explore the art of bringing words to life—whether through audiobook narration, character performances, or storytelling in other audio formats. My portfolio includes everything from deep, immersive narration to lively character work, and I’m always looking for new ways to lend my voice to compelling stories.
